Maine's Hospital-Managed Prescription Assistance Programs

There are many options for free or low-cost prescription drugs.

These include brand name and generic patient assistance programs (PAPs), co-pay foundations, retail and mail-order pharmacy discounts, and a variety of state and federal programs.

Some programs are available to patients with Medicare or private insurance or to those with greater incomes but high medical expenses.

Hospital-managed prescription assistance programs evaluate each patient's circumstances, identify the best sources of help, and coordinate the access process for both patient and prescriber.

All medical staff members of the following hospitals may refer patients to their hosptal's prescription assistance program.
